The annual tasting of Spanish wines in the UK decided to be held in Canary Wharf
Wines from Spain has decided to change the location of its annual Spanish wine tasting in the UK in 2024. The event will take place this time at The Pelligon pavilion in London’s Canary Wharf business district. On May 14, 50 leading exporters and importers will gather here to present about 1,000 varieties of wine from all regions of Spain to the public. Guests will not only be able to taste noble drinks but also take part in educational master classes. And on May 20, the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh will host a regional tasting featuring more than 200 wines.
The UK is the leading importer of bottled Spanish wines in quantity and value. Both events are therefore important launching pads for new manufacturers wishing to supply their products to the UK.
“We are looking forward to our 2024 tastings in London and Edinburgh,” said Fernando Muñoz, Director at Foods & Wines from Spain for the UK. “Our new home in London’s Canary Wharf is the ideal platform to present an exciting range of contemporary Spanish wines, spanning all regions and styles.”
