Barcelona Beer Festival will take place in the Catalan capital from March 22 to 24
From 22 to 24 March, the Catalan capital will host the most important annual craft beer festival in Southern Europe. The three-day Barcelona Beer Festival, which will take place at the Fira de Barcelona-Montjuïc exhibition center, will feature approximately 400 types of beer. Almost half of them are produced in Catalonia, another third — in other regions of Spain, and the rest — abroad. To help those who are afraid of getting confused with such diversity, special informants about beer will work at the festival. They will be easy to recognize by their yellow vests.
In addition to tastings, learning about technical innovations in the industry, and communicating with brewers, guests will enjoy a culinary show from Jordi Esteve, the chef of the Nectari restaurant, awarded a Michelin star, a virtual tour of the Tour de Geuze (TdG), a film screening and much more interesting things. The festival’s gastronomic area will feature traditional Catalan dishes that pair perfectly with beer.
Festival event times: March 22 and 23 — from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., March 24 — from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The entrance ticket for one day is 5 euros. The Experience ticket costs 40 euros and must be purchased online in advance.
