Aena flights delayed due to IT glitch at Microsoft
On the morning of July 19, companies around the world began to announce problems with their programs. It later became known that they were caused by the Crowdstrike antivirus, which, when interacting with Microsoft software, led to a serious failure.
Tech publication The Verge reports that devices and servers running CrowdStrike software are “going offline and entering an endless reboot loop.”
Windows users began to see a “blue screen of death” with a system message about a critical malfunction.
A failure in the Microsoft Azure cloud data storage led to problems in the work of airlines, airports, media outlets, banks and telecom operators around the world.
Spain’s largest airline operator Aena announced flight delays at all airports in the country. “We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime, work continues with manual systems.” The company’s press service reported on the social network X.
