The annual Day of Jamón will take place in the village of Monesterio near Badajoz. Approximately 10,000 people are expected to attend this gastronomic celebration. The event will be inaugurated at 11:00 a.m. near the municipal park. Visitors will have the chance to taste the iconic Spanish delicacy and other products, listen to lectures on ham, and watch meat-cutting competitions.

Fairs in Albacete, Murcia, and Salamanca

Where: Albacete (Castile-La Mancha), Murcia (Murcia), Salamanca (Castile and León)
When: 5 to 17 September

Three cities in different autonomous communities of Spain will host fairs during this period. In Murcia, the fair began on 5 September and will continue until 17 September. The program includes a cattle fair, amusement rides, folk festivities, bullfighting, and the Feast of Moors and Christians.

The Albacete event, which runs from 7 to 17 September, honours Our Lady of Los Llanos and is the town’s main celebration. In addition to the fair, it features concerts, theatre performances, parades, bullfights, and competitions.

The Salamanca fair is dedicated to Our Lady of the Virgen de la Vega and runs from 7 to 15 September. Events include concerts, flower-laying at the statue of the Virgin, and a procession to the New Cathedral.

Concerts of the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra for the 2024/25 Season

The concert season of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga (Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra), under the direction of conductor José María Moreno, begins on 7 September. Performances will be held at various venues including Teatro Cervantes, Castillo de Gibralfaro, Auditorio Parque de la Constitución Marbella, Museo Picasso Málaga, Museo de Málaga, Auditorio Edgar Neville, Sala Unicaja María Cristina, Teatro Infanta Leonor Jaén, Auditorio Casa Colón de Huelva, Auditorio Maestro Padilla de Almería, and Teatro Villamarta de Jerez de la Frontera.

Once a month on a Sunday afternoon, the orchestra performs for free in the courtyard of the Museo de Málaga as part of the Mañanas del Museo de Málaga series.

Vogue Fashion’s Night Out

Moorish Moon Festival in Guaro

From 6 to 7 September, the Moorish Moon Festival (Festival de la Luna Mora) takes place in the municipality of Guaro in the province of Málaga (Andalucía).
