To save you time studying information about each of them, the Spain Voyages team has compiled a mini-guide of the seven best vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Madrid, Spain.

Why can you trust our publication? No matter how great the temptation is to share personal impressions and preferences, we choose an expert position. That’s why this list includes restaurants that have received Tripadvisor awards, received the highest ratings on the vegetarian community site HappyCow, and are also mentioned in the Michelin Guide, Spain’s most important gastronomic guide Guía Repsol and We’re Smart® Green Guide, which specializes in the best plant-based restaurants.

You’ll go crazy for how delicious the burgers are here! And they are 100% vegan, like the rest of the food. This fast-food restaurant has been operating since 2019 and currently has 2 locations in Madrid and one in Barcelona.

Mad Mad Vegan is famous for its desire to break the mold, which is emphasized by the restaurant’s logo with an image of a broken chain. All the products used to prepare the dishes are uncompromisingly high-quality and fresh. And the menu boasts a wide selection of items. There are 6 types of burgers alone. And quite possibly the best vegan burgers in Madrid. We recommend trying The Mad Signature, as well as Dirty Philly and Original Mad. For a starter, order the Buffalo Coli wings or nachos, which are served with chili con carne, pico de gallo, and homemade guacamole. For drinks, the menu offers excellent craft beer, wine, organic tea, and coffee.

Vega’s menu features fusion cuisine with amazing textures and flavors. And they prepare everything exclusively with organic products. For appetizers, we recommend burrata and spinach croquettes. If you visit the restaurant on a hot day, be sure to try the incredibly refreshing beetroot gazpacho with mango ice cream. And if you want something more filling, order a homemade burger with spicy Sriracha Mayo sauce and a side of baked sweet potato. Choose became the first vegan Sicilian restaurant not only in Madrid but also in Spain. This establishment boasts a well-thought-out interior and clever zoning of the space. But its strongest side is the menu, in which traditional Italian dishes acquire a new vegan interpretation, but do not lose their characteristic taste. All of them are prepared from high-quality products that are delivered from Italy. Be sure to try the Carciofi Alla Siciliana artichokes as a starter. And then order the tagliatelle pasta with pistachios, parmesan, and smoked salmon. However, if you are a connoisseur of risotto, then it is better to give preference to the most delicate risotto gorgonzola e pere with caramelized pear and two types of vegan cheese — gorgonzola and parmesan.

And of course, like any self-respecting Italian restaurant, Choose offers a large selection of pizzas and desserts. There is also a special children’s menu. The restaurant’s drink menu is also impressive — from craft beer and cider to classic wines, intricate cocktails, and spirits. It is therefore not surprising that the HappyCow website included Choose in the top ten vegan restaurants in Madrid.
