Everyone can visit one of Madrid’s most popular attractions for free as part of El Prado de noche, a project run by the Museo Nacional del Prado in partnership with Samsung. From March to August 2024, on the first Saturday of every month from 8.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m., various exhibition spaces and music events will be open to guests. In addition, visitors will be able to explore the interactive projects that Samsung and the museum have created over the 10 years of collaboration: Guide to the Prado, History of the Prado Museum and its buildings, S Pen Academy, and Rome in your pocket. The museum will also have cafeterias open in various rooms.
The nearest Night at the Prado Museum will take place on Saturday, 4 May, on the ground floor of the Villanueva Building. Entry is until 23:00 through the Puerta de Jerónimos.
The museum is also free to visit daily during the last two hours before closing:
The Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza has also joined the Prado’s cultural initiative. In collaboration with UNIQLO, it is inviting free visits on Saturdays from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. to its temporary exhibitions on the first and second floors, as well as the Carmen Thyssen collection. The promotion is called Saturdays UNIQLO.
