Barcelona is preparing for Primavera Sound 2024: what guests need to know about the event

Barcelona is actively preparing for the Primavera Sound 2024 festival, which will take place from 29 May to 3 June at Parc del Fòrum. The mayor’s office has introduced a number of restrictions and additional security measures to ensure public order. Here’s what you need to know as a guest of the festival.

  • Establishments selling food around the clock in the Parc del Fòrum area, including shops, will be closed between 10 pm and about 8 am from 29 May to 3 June.
  • Bars and restaurants in the Parc del Fòrum area will also close no later than 10 pm throughout the festival. The opening time will be moved from the usual 6:00 am to 8:00 am.
  • There will be an increased police presence in the festival area.
  • Additional cleaning services are planned for the Parc del Fòrum area.
  • Public transport routes have been changed to avoid the flow of festival-goers using the streets of the San Marti neighbourhood, with the most residential areas.

We will announce the programme of Primavera Sound 2024, including the events you can attend for free, on our website tomorrow.
