Digest of cultural events in Spain from 25 October to 1 November

Christmas lighting

When: 28 November

Christmas lighting will be switched on in the Spanish capital from the end of November. The whole city will be filled with light and festive mood.

Mahou Bravas Fest

Where: Madrid

When: from 25 to 27 October

Mahou Bravas Fest is a not-to-be-missed event on a cool autumn evening. This gastronomic event will be held at the Museo del Ferrocarril. As part of it, 11 well-known restaurants in the city will offer their patatas bravas dish and another of their star tapas at the Madrid Drive-In. The festival will be complemented by masterclasses, lotteries and other entertainment.

BCN Open House

Where: Barcelona

When: 26 and 27 October

This weekend you can get to know the architecture of Barcelona better thanks to the unique Open House BCN festival. This is a great opportunity to find out what’s behind the facade of buildings. The project involves the Old Mersea Monastery, the new LCI Barcelona headquarters in Poblenou, Estadi Lluís Companys, Il Giardinetto restaurant, the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Valldonzella, and others. Balloon Festival

Where: Bocairente and Fontanarse

When: 1 to 3 November

A colourful event not to be missed is the Balloon Festival. The flights will start from 8:00 am. And from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, watch the Night Glow evening show with illuminated balloons. On November 1, Bocairente Day, the events will take place on the football field of the Polisport Centre of the municipality. And on 2 November – already in Fontanars, on Diputació Street.

The award ceremony will take place on the final day, 3 November, at 11:00.

Esmorzafest!

Where: Valencia

When: 1 and 2 November

Gastronomy, music and good atmosphere are what awaits guests at the world’s first lunchtime festival: Esmorzafest! The event will take place in the Viveros Gardens and will be dedicated to esmorzafest, or mid-morning lunch. Prestigious restaurants in the region will compete for the best version of this traditional type of lunch. Festival guests will be able to enjoy a wide range of appetisers, tapas, drinks and other typical Valencian eschmorsaret products, as well as vote for their favourite dish.

FIA Motorsport Games 2024

Where: Valencia

When: 23 to 27 October

This weekend, don’t miss the spectacular FIA Motorsport Games 2024, which takes place at Circuito Ricardo Tormo. There are 646 competitors representing 82 countries taking part in this sporting event. Details and programme of events here – https://www.fiamotorsportgames.com/

World’s largest inflatable park

Where: Valencia

When: 21 November 2024 to 12 January 2025

If you’re looking for a place to have fun in Valencia with the whole family, then head to Bonaire Shopping Centre. Here, the world’s largest inflatable park, Funbox, has reopened. There are 4,000 m² available for jumping and there are 10 play areas.
