Berklee Valencia (affiliated with the United States College of Music in Spain), in collaboration with Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, will host six free performances of the Un Lago de Conciertos (Lake of Concerts) series. They will take place every Friday from 30 August to 4 October at the Paseo Norte del Museu de les Ciències.
This is a great chance for tourists to start their weekend in Valencia accompanied by beautiful live music. Berklee Valencia’s repertoire includes many contemporary styles: jazz, R&B, soul, pop, flamenco, funk, South American music and more.
Where: Alicante (Valencia)
When: 30 and 31 August at 18:30 and 22:00
The last 4 Cirque du Soleil shows will take place in Alicante tonight and tomorrow with an updated version of their famous Alegria show. But if you don’t make it, don’t be disappointed. Performances of the famous Canadian circus will also take place in two other tourist cities in Spain:
Tickets can be booked now at cirquedusoleil.com. They cost between 38 and 76 euros, depending on the city, date and time of the performance.
Where: Barcelona (Catalonia)
When: 31 August to 17 October
As part of the America’s Cup regatta, Barcelona will host a series of free music and pop culture shows. The venue will be the official Race Village, located on the Moll de la Fusta promenade. Performances will take place on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 19:00 or 20:30.

When: 31 August and 1 September from 12:00pm to 9:00pm
This weekend, Barcelona’s Passeig del Born will host the traditional monthly creative festival Fet al Born. There will be music, fun and free workshops in ceramics, accessories and jewellery making, macramé weaving, painting and more. No pre-booking is required. Just come along to have a good time and stroll along the beautiful mediaeval street, which is famous for its terrace bars.

When: every Thursday from mid-August to 10 October, starting at 20:00.
Don’t miss the chance to admire the beautiful San Nicolás Church, called the Valencia Sistine Chapel on a guided night tour. A ticket for this event can be purchased on the official website of the Parroquia Museo de San Nicolás or directly at the parish ticket office. Its cost is 22 euros. Children under the age of 12 can go free of charge. The maximum number of visitors during the tour is 15 people. Its approximate duration is one and a half hours.
