Concerts by candlelight (Candlelight Open Air)

The Candlelight Open Air concert series continues in Spain. Puro Latino El Puerto de Santa Maria Fest

The exciting Puro Latino festival will bring together connoisseurs of fiery rhythms, art and entertainment. From performances by international stars to craft markets and delicacies, event guests will be treated to a variety of unforgettable experiences. Headlining the Puro Latino El Puerto de Santa María Fest 2024 will be Maluma, Anuel AA, El Alfa, Yandel, Juan Magán and Maria Becerra. Festa Major del Poble Sec

Where: El Poble Sec district, Barcelona

When: July 19-28

The main festival of the Poble Sec district in Barcelona takes place in the second half of July. It is famous not only for its cheerful music, dancing and competitions. One of the main attractions of Festa Major del Poble Sec are the human towers (Castellers), which can reach the height of a 10-story building. The castellers of the El Poble Sec region traditionally perform in blue shirts. The festival program also includes parades, processions of giants, concerts, karaoke and master classes. The holiday will end on July 28 with a grand fireworks display.

New observation deck in Barcelona

Where: Cathedral, Barcelona

After two years of renovation, Barcelona Cathedral has reopened to the public. After admiring the updated exterior and interior, visitors can go up to the roof, where a new observation deck has appeared. It offers stunning panoramic views of the central part of the city. Ticket price for adults is 14 euros, for children under 12 years old – 6 euros. Children under 3 years old can visit the cathedral and observation deck for free. Festa del Renaixement de Tortosa

Where: Tortosa (Tarragona, Catalonia)

When: July 18-21

For four days, the XXVII Festa del Renaixement 2024 will transform Tortosa in the province of Tarragona into a flourishing city of the 16th century. Craft markets, musical and theatrical performances, dancing, live music, costume parties and shows will give guests the opportunity to fully experience the splendor of the Renaissance. Restaurateurs, bakers and confectioners offer everyone to try dishes prepared according to ancient recipes, and musicians, actors and artists turn every street and square of the city into stages of improvised theaters. Geisha/Samurái: Memorias de Japón

Where: Palau Martorell, Barcelona

A unique exhibition that immerses you in the fascinating world of Japanese culture takes place at the Palau Martorell in Barcelona. More than 150 rare and valuable exhibits, including antique samurai armor, woodcuts, katanas, calligraphers and netsuke, illustrate life in 19th-century Japan. The exhibition includes 6 sections:

  • Teatro;
  • Geisha;
  • Shunga. Las images de la primavera Netsuke;
  • Kakekomo y fotografías de época;
  • Cultura de Guerra;
  • Samuráis.
