FC Barcelona win the UEFA Women’s Champions League Cup for the third time

The UEFA Women’s Champions League final match took place on May 25 in Bilbao at the San Mames Stadium. The Spanish Barcelona beat the French Olympique Lyon with a score of 2:0 and won this prestigious international football tournament for the third time.

The first goal against the French national team in regular time was scored by the Blaugrana midfielder Aitana Bonmati, who became the best player of UWCL 2024. And the decisive goal, already in stoppage time, was scored by Alexia Putellas, the famous goalscorer of Barcelona.

The Catalan club lost to Lyon twice in the UEFA Champions League final — in 2019 and 2022. But the sweeter and brighter is the taste of victory in UWCL 2024. Congratulations to Barcelona!
