Great news for all Potter fans in Spain! The famous immersive Harry Potter: The Exhibition is coming to Madrid on October 4. The exhibition will be open at Espacio Ibercaja Delicias until January 25, 2025. Tickets will go on free sale Monday, September 2, at 10:00 a.m. at harrypotterexhibition.com, Doctormusic.com and ventas.com. But you can register now on the official event website to get a code for pre-sale tickets.
Harry Potter: The Exhibition promises fans of the saga a full immersion into the world of their favorite characters. They will be able to try on the Gryffindor uniform, get lost in the corridors of the castle, prepare a deadly potion and even reproduce the legendary duel between Harry Potter and Voldemort.
In 20 galleries of the exhibition there is an incredible collection of authentic props and costumes from the Harry Potter saga and the movie “Fantastic Beasts”. The halls recreate iconic scenes from the franchise, as well as the furnishings of Harry’s house, Gryffindor rooms and other iconic locations. Armed with the Marauders’ Map, visitors walk through the castle, stroll through galleries of photographs and costumes, and study books on charms and spells. And the tour ends with a fun Quidditch match.
To fully experience the magic of the world of Harry Potter, the organizers offer to use an audio guide. It is available in English, French, Spanish, Catalan, German, Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The audio guide can be added to your cart when purchasing a ticket or purchased separately. Its cost is $8.
While waiting for Harry Potter: The Exhibition to open, Potteromans in Madrid can attend several interesting events.
From August 30 to September 1, the Estación de Príncipe Pío will recreate iconic locations from the film for free photo shoots. Opening hours are Friday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
But that’s not all! This year, for the first time in Madrid, you will be able to see the departure of the Hogwarts Express from Platform 9 ¾. It will take place on September 1 at 11am sharp. Come to the Gran Teatro CaixaBank Príncipe Pío at 10:30 to relive this unforgettable moment.
