How the games of the Spanish giants in the fifth round of the Champions League went

The fifth round of the Champions League group stage took place on 26 and 27 November. Atletico and Barcelona played on the first day. The former defeated Czech team Sparta Prague 6-0. The goals were scored by Julian Alvarez (15 and 59 minutes), Marcos Llorente (43 minutes), Antoine Griezmann (70 minutes) and Angel Correa (85 and 89 minutes). The Catalans also beat their French rivals Brest 3-0. Robert Lewandowski made his mark on the pitch, converting a penalty on 10 minutes and scoring the final goal on 90+2 minutes. Dani Olmo scored on 66 minutes.

Girona and Real Madrid played on Wednesday. This day for the Spaniards was unsuccessful. Girona lost to Austrian ‘Sturm Graz’ with a score of 0:1.  And the ‘creamy’ lost to English ‘Liverpool’ 0:2. Unfortunately, Kylian Mbappe failed to realise a penalty on 61 minutes.     

The sixth group round will be held on 10 and 11 December.
