The traditional Festival of Lavender Fields in Brihuega (Guadalajara province) will celebrate the new lavender harvest on 12 and 13 July. This small picturesque town, an hour’s drive from Madrid, is nicknamed «Spanish Provence», and attracts tens of thousands of tourists yearly.
Maldita Nerea and Rozalen artists will be the guests of the festival, which takes place in endless fields of lavender. They will perform at sunset, at 8.45 p.m. In addition to the musicians’ performance, there will be great snacks of local seasonal produce to enjoy.
Festival organizers ask guests to wear white clothing and comfortable shoes.
Tickets for the event are already on sale on the official website festivaldelalavanda.com. Their price includes a visit to the food zone, which will be open from 6:30 p.m. to 1:00 а.m.
Admission is free for children under 5 years of age, provided they do not occupy a separate seat. Young spectators between 6 and 16 years old must have a ticket and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
