Madrid is preparing to host Junior Eurovision 2024

Spain is preparing for the Junior Eurovision 2024, which will be held in Madrid on November 15 and 16. This event will be special, as the famous music contest is being held in the country for the first time since 1969. The organization of the event was undertaken by RTVE — the state broadcaster of Spain.

The right to hold Junior Eurovision was given to Spain after France, which won last year, refused to organize the contest. The Spanish capital will host participants and guests from 17 countries. The Caja Mágica stadium has been chosen as the venue for the Eurovision Song Contest.

The representative of Spain is Chloe DelaRosa, who is already considered one of the favorites of the contest. The 9-year-old singer, chosen from more than 300 applicants, will perform the song Como la Lola.

On Friday, November 15, a gala concert “Jury Show” will be held, in which the international jury will evaluate the numbers of all participating countries. The Junior Eurovision final will take place on Saturday, November 16 at 18:00 local time and will be broadcast live on La 1 de TVE.

Preparations for the contest are already in full swing. More than 800 people are working on the creation and decoration of the concert venue. One of the most striking features of the stage of Junior Eurovision in Spain will be a huge vertical LED panel 19 meters high and 11 meters wide. It is not just a decorative element, but is integrated into the overall concept of the stage to become the centerpiece of the performance. The format of the panel resembles the gadget screens familiar to young people. This is conceived on purpose to make the show close to the modern youth audience.

But that’s not all. The floor of the stage will also be a huge screen with an area of 100 m².  This will allow the artists to maximize their ideas and create an immersive experience for the audience.

The design of the stage is made within the framework of the Let’s Bloom competition concept, symbolizing the blossoming and growth of young talent. Decor elements and venue design will incorporate organic forms and floral motifs. Vertical gardens on either side of the stage will be equipped with their own lighting, adding depth and dynamics to the stage productions.

Another new feature is the Green Room area, where performers usually wait for results after their performances. This year it is integrated directly into the stage and divided into two parts. The seats in the seating area are made in the shape of flower petals of different colors to create a cozy atmosphere for the participants.

Junior Eurovision 2024 promises to be a true celebration of music and talent. Madrid is already expecting guests, and the organizers of the show promise the audience an incredible experience.
