Queen Letizia supported Spanish athletes at the Olympic Games in France

Queen Letizia of Spain supported her compatriots at the 2024 Olympic Games for two days in a row.

On July 31, the royal person attended the water polo competition between the women’s teams of Spain and Greece in Paris. It was a preliminary round match, where the Spanish won with a score of 10:8. After the victory, Letizia personally talked to the athletes.

On August 1, the queen became a spectator of the quarterfinals in men’s singles tennis. Spain was represented by Carlos Alcaraz, who beat the American Tommy Paul and advanced to the semifinals. Letizia was accompanied by the president of the Spanish Olympic Committee Alejandro Blanco.
