On May 30, the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the home arena of Real Madrid, will host a concert by American singer Taylor Swift. In this regard, the football club submitted a request to La Liga to postpone the last game of the season. The match with Real Betis, scheduled for Sunday, May 24, is requested by Madridians to be played on Saturday, May 23, to have more time to prepare the stadium for the star’s performance. Moreover, given the public’s interest in this event, organizers are trying to find a date for Taylor Swift’s second concert in Madrid.

It is still being determined whether Real’s request will be satisfied because by that time the last game could have tournament significance for both teams. There is a possibility that the fight for the championship title will last until the final match of the league. At the moment, Los Merengues are six points ahead of Girona, who occupy second place in the standings, and Betis can continue to fight for a place in European competition. According to sporting principles, Real Madrid must play their final league match simultaneously with Girona and Betis against their European competition rivals.

Real Madrid, with 62 points after 25 rounds, topped the La Liga standings. Next come Girona and Barcelona. Betis are in sixth place, ahead of Real Sociedad.
