Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich 2-1 to reach the 2024 Champions League final

May 8, 2024 will go down in the history of the Real Madrid football club as the day when Los Blancos got the chance to compete for their 15th Champions League victory and once again confirm their status as record holders.  This is because in the second leg of the semi-final at their home arena, the Santiago Bernabeu, the Spaniards brilliantly beat Bayern Munich with a score of 2-1.

Unlike the first leg of the semi-final, which ended in a draw, Carlo Ancelotti’s men seized the initiative from the first seconds and sought to dominate the field.  But despite this, the first goal of the game came against Real.  It was scored by Bayern defender Alphonso Davies in the 68th minute.

The victory for Los Blancos was brought by a double from Joselu, who equalized the score in the 88th minute of the match and just three minutes later scored the second goal against Manuel Neuer.

On aggregate (4-3), Real Madrid won and reached the final of the 2024 Champions League. On June 1, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will meet Borussia Dortmund in the decisive match at Wembley Stadium in London.
