Real Madrid has signed a five-year contract with French superstar Kylian Mbappe

French superstar Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid have signed a five-year contract. One of the longest transfer sagas in football, which lasted since August 2021, has finally ended in success!

Twenty-five-year-old Kylian Mbappe, who captains the French national football team, is among the best players in the world. The forward played seven seasons for the club Paris Saint-Germain, becoming its top scorer in history: he scored 256 goals in 307 matches. As part of the French national team, Kylian Mbappe won the 2018 World Cup and won the title of the best young player of the championship. He also won the 2021 Nations League and at the 2022 World Cup he was recognised as the top scorer with 8 goals.

The footballer signed a contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2029. Mbappe reportedly received a one-time bonus of 100 million euros, and his annual salary as a striker of the «royal club» will be 15 million euros.

Shortly after the announcement of his new contract, Kylian Mbappe wrote on social media, «So happy and proud to join my dream club Real Madrid. No one can understand how excited I am right now. I can’t wait to meet you Madridistas, and thank you for your incredible support. Hala Madrid!»
