Results of the Spanish teams’ matches in the second round of the Champions League

The Spanish football teams played in the second round of the main stage of the Champions League.

The first competition occurred on October 1 between Barcelona and Young Boys from Switzerland. Barca won with a score of 5:0 and took 16th place in the table. Rafinha and Inigo Martinez scored goals, Robert Lewandowski scored a brace, and Mohamed Kamara from Young Boys earned an own goal.

On October 2, three teams were taken to the field: Girona, Atletico, and Real Madrid. Girona played a match with the Dutch Feyenoord and, having lost with a score of 2:3, took 30th place in the standings. Goals for the Spaniards were scored by Donny van de Beek and David Lopez Silva.

Atletico conceded four goals from Portuguese Benfica without scoring a single goal. The Milan team took 23rd place in the table.

Real Madrid also suffered a setback, losing 1-0 to French Lille and taking 17th place in the standings.

The third round matches will be held on October 22-23.
