Ski resorts in Spain are starting a new season
Ahead of the long December weekend (December 6-8), Spain’s ski resorts are kicking off the 2024-2025 ski season. They have modernized their infrastructure before opening, investing $75 million. Opening on December 5
Sierra Nevada (Andalusia) — the southernmost ski resort in Europe, located on the northwestern slopes of Veleta, the third highest peak in Spain. The height of the slopes and modern infrastructure make it a benchmark for snow tourism in Spain. Sierra Nevada is suitable for skiing and snowboarding. The season here lasts from November to April.
Valdelinares (Teruel, Aragon) is a ski resort located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, suitable for both experienced and beginner skiers, as well as for families. The whole skiing area is equipped with artificial snow systems. It offers ski rental, skiing and snowboarding school, kindergarten, stores, doctor’s office, restaurant, cafe and sunbathing terraces.

Opening on December 6
Baqueira Beret (Aran Valley, Lleida, Catalonia) is the largest and most visited winter resort in Spain. The skiing area is located at an altitude of 1500 to 2610 meters above sea level. Thanks to a reliable snow cover, the ski season here begins in November and lasts until the end of April. The resort offers 90 slopes of varying difficulty and a wide range of additional services — ski school, equipment rental, restaurants and cafes on the slopes, medical services, hotels and apartments, skating rink, heated pool and stores.
