Spain started Euro 2024 with a win, beating Croatia 3-0

Spain kicked off their Euro 2024 campaign with a stunning 3-0 win over Croatia. The first game in Group B took place on June 15 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. All three goals against the Croats were scored in the first half. Their authors were Alvaro Morata, Fabian Ruiz and Dani Carvajal. Zlatko Dalic’s men had a chance to reduce the deficit in the second half, but Croatia striker Bruno Petkovic missed his penalty.

The head coach of the Spanish national team, Luis de la Fuente, commented on the result of the match on La 1 TV channel: «We are very happy but very prudent, we know what football is. This is a good start, with good feelings, our football, our competitiveness. But everything has just begun, there is still a long way to go. We are happy but calm and reasonable… It was a very solid game, in defense and attack, brilliant high pressing against one of the most technical teams in the world.»

The Spanish national team has two more games ahead in the group stage: against Italy (June 20) and Albania (June 24). The editors of Spain Voyages wish La Furia Roja good luck and bright victories!
