As part of Las Fallas, the XIII Orange and Horchata Festival will take place in Valencia on March 6 and 7. Its guests will be able to taste free natural orange juice from the famous late variety Navel and refreshing horchata. The event starts at noon near the Plaza de Toros bullring and will continue until drinks supplies run out.
Horchata is the national drink of Spain and is an excellent thirst quencher. It is made from the Valencian chufa groundnut, also called “earth almond.” Horchata is similar in appearance and consistency to milk.
The organizers of the event, including the Valencia City Council, FOTUR, and other public and private partners, also took care of the musical accompaniment of the celebration. Visitors can expect performances from popular Valencian DJs.
