Travelling by train in Spain will become cheaper — Ouigo launches new routes
High-speed train operator Ouigo is expanding its route network in 2024. As early as 1 June, the Madrid-Valencia line will stop in Cuenca, while the Madrid-Alicante route will stop in Albacete and Cuenca. The line between Madrid and Valladolid will also operate from 1 June to 1 September. In the year’s second half, there will be a route from Madrid and Andalusia with stops in Malaga, Cordoba, and Seville.
Meanwhile, the cost of an adult ticket is stated at €9, prompting Spain’s Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente Santiago, to accuse Ouigo of «blatant price gouging».
