Ukrainian Artem Dovbik became the top scorer of the 2023-2024 season of the Spanish La Liga
Striker of the Spanish football club Girona and the Ukrainian national team Artem Dovbik became the top scorer of the 2023-2024 season of the Spanish La Liga. He scored 24 goals in 36 matches. His magnificent hat-trick against Granada in the last match of the season helped him surpass his closest competitor, Villarreal striker Alexander Sørloth (23 goals). Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham (19 goals) and Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski (18 goals) also breathed behind Artem Dovbik.
Artem Dovbik became the first Ukrainian to win the prestigious Pichichi trophy. The Spanish sports newspaper Marca gives this award to the top scorer of each season of the Spanish football league.
